50 yr old male with history of chronic synovitis of knee undergoes synovial biopsy.

 

DIAGNOSIS:

 

SB 5182 Shaku Nagpal, M.D. and Gloria Yu, M.D. O’Connor Hospital (WEB CASE)

76 yr old female with anemia undergoes upper endoscopy to investigate possible malabsorption. Esophageal and duodenal biopsies are performed. Microscopic images are from the esophageal biopsy.

61 yr old woman presented with epigastric pain was found on upper endoscopy to have a 4 cm submucosal mass in the gastric cardia, extending into the GE junction.

16 yr old girl presents with a mobile non-tender breast mass.

42 yr old woman with progressively enlarging breast mass measuring 6 cm.

22 yr old female with a 7 cm solid ovarian mass incidentally found during work-up for amenorrhea.

SB 5187 Peter Benson, M.D., San Mateo Coroner’s Office (08-01)

15 yr old female presented with headache, shortness of breath and arm pain. She is found dead hours later.

79 yr old female undergoing CABG was found to have a 4 cm mediastinal nodule.

75 yr old male with a 10 cm right renal mass. Cut section revealed marked calcification.

 

DIAGNOSIS:

 

SB 5190 Mahendra Ranchod, M.D., Good Samaritan Hospital (OP-02-2959)

31 yr old male with a 3.5 cm skin nodule of the left arm.
