SB 5171 Jerome Burke, M.D. Alta Bates Summit Medical Center (WEB CASE; P-07-7640)

One year following chemotherapy for carcinoma of the breast, this 56 year old female presented with a three month history of erythematous cutaneous plaques and nodules on her extremities.

 

DIAGNOSIS:

 

SB 5172 Shaku Nagpal, M.D. O�Connor Hospital (WEB CASE; S07-6581)

73 year old male underwent biopsies of esophagus, gastric body and antrum. Esophageal biopsy showed Barrett�s esophagus and gastric body showed no significant pathological findings. Photomicrographs are from the antral biopsy.

 

DIAGNOSIS:

 

SB 5173 Andrea Pingitore, M.D., Grace Kim, M.D. (S06-10525)

20 year old woman with cystic mass in the tail of the pancreas. The patient undergoes distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy. Cut section of the pancreas show a 3 cm cystic lesion within the superior lateral tail.

 

DIAGNOSIS:

 

SB 5174 Grace Kim, M.D. (S06-7517)

55 year old woman with intermittent epidodes of abdominal pain. Abdominal ultrasound revealed a 2.6 cm cystic mass within the head of the pancreas. Gross exam revealed a 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.2 cm multiloculated cystic lesion.

SB 5175 John Walsh, M.D. Kaiser Walnut Creek (S07-4481)

49 year old female with ACTH independent Cushing�s syndrome undergoes bilateral adrenalectomy. Both adrenals were enlarged (right-54 g, left-70 g) with multiple pigmented nodules measuring up to 1 cm.

80 year old patient with jaundice and 2.5 cm mass within the head of the pancreas

55 year old male with "right testicular neoplasm" removed four months prior to admission in Mexico. Biopsy of an enlarged right cervical lymph node is performed.

58 year old patient with left foot subcutaneous nodule.

 

DIAGNOSIS:

 

SB 5179 Andrew Horvai, M.D. UCSF Medical Center (07-11027)

42 year old male with a right paralaryngeal tumor. Clinical history of testicular CA 20 years ago, treated with chemo and radiation therapy.The mass extends from the right thyroid gland superiorly to the levels of the hyoid bone with involvement of the recurrent laryngeal nerve, thyroid cartilage and hyoid bone.

 

DIAGNOSIS:

 

SB 5180 Andrew Horvai, M.D. UCSF Medical Center (07-11789)

65 year old male with oncogenic osteomalacia presents with a 4.7 cm multilobulated soft tissue mass of the right foot (medial plantar surface).
