SB 5201 Wendy Wu, M.D. Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (WEBCASE)

A 12-week-old female infant with significant rectal bleeding. Flexible sigmoidoscopy showed abundant lymphonodular hyperplasia with scattered lesions. Rule out Cow’s milk protein allergy, rule out AVMs.

SB 5202 David Levin, M.D. Washington Hospital Center (WEB CASE)

59 yr old male from southern California with a 3 month history of recurrent pneumonia.

An induced sputum is performed, "rule out PCP".

SB 5203 Chandra Krishnan, M.D. Stanford Medical Center (WEBCASE)

33 yr old woman, 6-months post-partum, with breast tenderness and peri-areolar erythema.

Because of the clinical concern for inflammatory carcinoma, a skin biopsy was performed.

SB 5204 Saul Suster, M.D. Medical College of Wisconsin (S07-19844)

80 yr old male with 17 cm mass involving the head and body of the pancreas.

SB 5205 Chris Hansen, M.D. Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (S07-4974)

36 yr old male admitted for bariatric surgery, found to have a 1 cm area of jejunal thickening, which was resected.

SB 5206 Chandra Krishnan, M.D. Stanford Medical Center (SHS-09-24210)

57 yr old female with an enlarged spleen and no peripheral blood abnormalities.

 

DIAGNOSIS:

 

 

SB 5207 Hava Liberman, M.D. Seton Medical Center (S07-6266)

42 yr old female with one year history of headaches and seizures. MRI scan shows leptomeningeal enhancement of temporal lobes. A recent CSF contained abnormal cells. A brain biopsy is performed.

 

DIAGNOSIS:

 

 

SB 5208 Shaku Nagpal, M.D. O’Connor Hospital (S07-6890)

63 yr old male with signs and symptoms of BPH and unilateral enlargement of the right prostate lobe. The patient is being treated with Finasteride. The urologist commented that the unilateral enlargement is very unusual and that the tissue is unusually firm. TUR is performed.

52 yr old man with a 2.6 cm mass next to the thyroid.

SB 5210 Stephanie McAchany, M.D. + Andrew Horvai, M.D. UCSF Medical Center (S08-5566)

79 yr old female with large nasal cavity mass.
